This cabin had much going for it: a great position on the hill, a very large wrap-around porch, a beautiful environment. It also features a very large basement, a nicely appointed master bedroom/bathroom, and plenty of space within.
The photo session took place at the end of the afternoon to get the 5 o’clock light and the following morning. Due to my travel schedule I hadn’t enough time to shoot everything on the same day.
Shooting in the golden hour in excellent weather is always rewarding. It gave the simple living room/dining room a lovely homey feel and the countryside a wonderfully bucolic vibe. The clear morning light exposed the front of the house well enough to shoot all the rooms opening on the east side.
This shoot was directly coordinated with the owners and their son, three extremely nice persons.
